NYc/CDMX-BASED

Tania Farah is a NYC and CDMX based photographer studying at Parsons School of Design. Her juxtaposition between the minimal and the bizarre punctuates her signature style. Tania believes photos are a bridge, one that unites her abstract mind to the physical, tangible world around her.

Black and White

Working with both the absence and combination of all color, the light in black and white photography allows for a greater exploration of the composition of an image. I love black and white photography because of the freedom it gives to the creative mind, and the extensive margin of error that it transforms into an imperfect kind of beauty: the third colorless dimension.

Color

Photos are keepsakes that convert the abstract memory into a tangible “thing”. Their beauty comes from the way in which the unreliable mind makes an ally out of the un disputable fact that is a picture, converting it into an eternal representation of reminiscence.
